FAYE (DUCE) BEAZER, 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Lee Crest Care Facility in Cardston, Alberta.
She was born on December 30, 1922 in Cardston to Joseph Edgar Duce and Antoinette (Leavitt) Duce and was the youngest of seven children.
She married Delbert Scott Beazer on November 17, 1939 in Cardston. Together they had four children, and lived in Salt Lake City, Utah and Everett, Washington, eventually returning to Cardston to be close to family and the land and heritage they loved.
While living in Salt Lake City, Faye started a successful catering business, 'Faye's Fine Foods'. She was a legend in the kitchen, and so enjoyed serving anyone from family members to General Authorities of the church. Her specialty had to be her pies and hand dipped chocolates, which she gifted friends at Christmas. Faye was a life long member of Beta Sigma Phi and loved her sorority sisters. Her favorite past-time was Bridge, and she always belonged to a Bridge group, wherever she lived. She loved playing cards, once winning a gold medal in the Alberta senior games for cribbage.
Family and her faith were always the most important things to her. She loved us beyond measure and we will miss her greatly, until we meet again.
Faye is predeceased by her husband, Scott, son, Ronald, daughters, Carole Anne and Jo Lynn.
She is survived by her daughter, Gerri Sattree, (Bill); sister, Norma Reeves; three grandchildren, Billy (Melodie), Stephanie and Andrea; and four great grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, South Hill Chapel, Cardston, AB on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., with President Larry Schow officiating.
Friends may meet the family from 1:00 to 1:45 pm prior to the service. Interment will be in the Cardston Cemetery.
Special thanks to Dr. Low and all those at Lee Crest who took special care of our dear Mother.
