Heber James Beazer Passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025 in Cardston Alberta.

Born in Cardston, Alberta, on May 24th,1936 to Delbert and Vinnie Beazer, Heber grew up as one of ten children (Scott, June, Ellen, Hazel, Ruby, Joyce, Harry, Gerald, Murray) . Life in a big family taught him the value of hard work, loyalty, and humor. These traits shaped the man he became.

While growing up, he shared with his brother and sisters, chores like milking cows, farming/harvesting and ranching, but in his free time you would find him at the Beazer Swimming Hole, horse riding at the Beazer Homestead and fishing in Lee creek and Tough Creek. Some of his favorite memories were going to the mountains with his Father and siblings. He often found himself rushing through his chores so he could saddle his horse and follow his Father to the Mountains.

He married his first sweetheart, Rosemarie Oertli, and together they raised five children, building a life rich with family, faith, and adventure until her passing in 2004. In 2005, the Lord blessed him with a beautiful second chapter of love when he married Rebecca Brandley, who lovingly stood by his side until his final day.

If you stepped into FP Walshe High School in the 1970s or 80s, you likely heard the sound of laughter coming from Mr. Beazer’s classroom. For 28 years, he did far more than teach — he inspired, encouraged, and brought joy to learning.

Mr. Beazer had a gift for turning lessons into experiences. His sharp wit and genuine kindness made his classroom a place where students felt comfortable being themselves. He believed learning should be enjoyable, and he brought that belief to life every single day — with a joke, a story, or a thoughtful word just when it was needed most.

To his students, he was more than a teacher. He was a mentor, a role model, and often, the reason they looked forward to school. He didn’t just teach facts — he helped shape confidence, curiosity, and character.

Even years after graduation, many still speak of Mr. Beazer with affection and gratitude. His legacy lives on not just in the lessons he taught, but in the laughter he shared and the lives he touched.

The mountains were always calling to him - they were his place of peace and renewal—but people were his true joy. His life was defined by service, including many years in Scouting leadership and three missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - two in South Africa and one in Austria. Wherever he went, he made friends easily, whether in a doctor’s waiting room or while filling his car at the gas station.

He cherished time with his children and grandchildren, often teaching them the importance of hard work by example. With skilled hands and a creative spirit, he crafted beautiful pieces from wood, including two log homes for his family—one in Fort Macleod and another in Boundary Creek (Cardston).

He was known for his quick wit and gentle nature, he always knew how to lighten the mood with a good joke, or funny commentary. Some of his favorite sayings were: “DDDT - Don’t do Dumb Things”, “Don’t you have any Gumption”, "Make a decision, develop your character". All these and so many more left a mark on every heart he touched.

He spent his life serving, teaching and leading in his many callings within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  You never had to guess where his priorities were, they were solidly based in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His life was guided by faith, family, and a genuine love for serving others.

Heber’s legacy is carried forward by his wife Becky, his five children, Douglas (Marianne) Beazer, Darla (Donald) Nielsen, Diane (Michael) Ball, Carolyn (Donald) Callister and Mark (Laura) Beazer.  He had 23 grandchildren, and 44 great-grandchildren. His story will live on in theirs. As well as Becky's children: Dana (Rob) Rapp, Julie (Lee) Garbutt, Max
(Rowan Fox) Court, Andy (Haley) Court, Shelley Kanyo, Peggy (Remington) Edwards , Jay (Brittany) Court and Becky's 22 grandchildren and 1 1/2 great grandchildren.
