Jasmine Cherish Wade Bird passed away unexpectedly on March 17, 2024 at the age of 26 yrs old. She left her family: her common-law husband, Justin Shot Both Sides; her pride and joy, her boys Kyree Shot Both Sides and baby Brixton Shot Both Sides. Also her mother, Cheryl Faye (Everett Eagle Plume); father, Larry Scout; brother, Dylan Bird; grandparents, Doris (Ronald), Lucille Scout; uncles, Gary (Joyce), Henry (Rosemarie), Wilford, Brent Scout, Lance Scout; aunties, Jessie Calftail, Doreen, Maureen, Florence Scout.
Jamine came from a large family: Hunts, Gamblers, Calling Last, Badmans.
Jazz lived with her grandmother, Doris, whom she cherished very much and loved. She grew up on the Blood Reserve. She had friends young and old. She had acquaintances wherever she went. Jasmine would do all kinds of activities with her boys. She would sit for hours writing in her journal, writing about how she felt, her thoughts. Jasmine always made time for her boys, taking them to Lion’s Park or play ball or the X-box. Jasmine also spent a lot of time at the Moses Lake Shelter.
Jasmine always took time to stop in and check on her Auntie Rose and Uncle Henry and visit with them. They became like her second parents. They never judged her. Uncle and Auntie always made time to listen to her and when she is not talking to them, she will be cruising with him. Jasmine went to school from Gr 1 – 6 Kainai Middle School 7 – 9. Jasmine was known by everyone. She had a real friendly person.
Most of all she cherish her mother with love. She would always be by her mothers side, wherever she was at. She would always be driving around with her. They would have mother/daughter dates, just 2 of them.
Jasmine is predeceased by her grandparents, William Billy Bird and Annie Bird; uncles, Winston and Rex Bird; aunties, Beulah and Freda and Francis Gail Cutter; her brother, Travis Bird; and cousins, B. J. Bird, Virgil Bird, Sheldon William Bird, Matthew Cutter. The family apologizes for any names that were missed.
A Wake Service will be held at the Moses Lake Community Hall, Blood Reserve, on Monday, April 1 from 6:00 – 11:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Moses Lake Community Hall on Tuesday, April 2 at 12:00 pm. The Interment will follow in Blood Band Cemetery.
