It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, father, uncle, papa FRANKLIN JOSEPH BLACK RABBIT , who passed away on June 8, 2020 on the Blood reserve. Franklin was born in Cardston, Alberta to Alice Black Rabbit, he was then adopted by Frank Black Rabbit and Alice Eagle Plume.
Our brother was a kind, gentle man with a gigantic heart he had a sense of humor that we all loved, even if we didn't understand it at times. Our brother took on the role of the father figure for all his nephews n nieces. Which is the reason they all called him DAD. Franklin loved the outdoors he loved wrestling with horses & then riding them for hours on end. He was a jack of all trades and he tackled any task that was presented to him.He loved helping out at all the rodeos here in standoff. He also enjoyed just walking around in the woods behind the trading post he would tell us I'm going to check my traps. Franklin had a sense of humor that we all loved he would check you out n leave you with a smile. He was a generous man to all he encountered which made him a friend to all.
He is survived by his sisters Lucille, Winnie(Terence), Shannon (Dwayne WF), and his brother Rex Many Grey Horses (Yolanda)and his son Aaron Eagle Child and his adopted children Justin, Nicole, Erica and baby Reg. & by his auntie Girlie BR & Agnes Blackwater & his special cuz Janice BR & his uncle Clement Black Rabbit & all the Eagle plume family.
