Our buddy KODY ROBIN BLACKMORE passed away April 17, 2020, surrounded by his family and in his Mom & Dad's loving arms, after a courageous battle with a terminal genetic disorder.
Kody was born in Medicine Hat Alberta June 14, 2011, he was a special boy right from the beginning, he had to try harder than everyone else to keep up physically.
Kody refused to let his physical challenges slow him down. He lived his life to the fullest and absolutely loved to be around people and talking to everyone. His favourite things in life included being the #1 Hockey Fan for his two brothers, spending time with his grandmas, cheering on his cousins in any sport, going roping with Dad, socializing with everyone, helping do any project, and anything with his Mom.
Kody had a genuine love for people young and old. He would ask you questions and actually listen and remember the answers. Kody's sweet spirit would fill a room with laughter and sunshine, he always made sure everyone was included and noticed any time someone was missing. Even near the end of his fight with Leigh syndrome as he was exhausted from the countless medications and tests, he just wanted to Facetime his buddies.
Kody is survived by his parents Kari & Winston, his brothers Kohlman, and Kacey, his Grandparents Robin & Karen Chipman, Rod & Peggy Blackmore, many aunts, uncles, cousins and his favourite horse Hank.
A Viewing will be held at the Legacy Funeral Home, in Cardston on Thursday, April 23rd, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. (Due to to COVID-19 - Limited people will be allowed in the building at a time.) A Private Family Service will be held on Friday, April 24th, at 11:00 a.m.
