It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our father Robert (Binki) Maurice Blood (Kinakssaapo’p Old Plume from the Fish Eaters Clan) at the age of 57 years old.
Binki leaves behind to mourn his passing his children: Ivy (Sean), RJ (Tammy). Grandchildren: Michael, Seany, Tahia-Lee, Gena-Lee, Marian, Robert-Chet and Elgin. Sibling: Clayton (Natosha), Vicki (Jeff) Bullshields, Debra, Ursula (Lawrence) Red Crow. Numerous nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews.
Binki was born to Narcisse and Mary Blood and raised in the community of Farm Four, located on the Blood Reserve. Binki attended St. Mary’s Residential School, Lethbridge Community College and Red Crow Community College. Binki resided in Cardston where he raised his son RJ then moved to Stand Off to start his entrepreneurship in mechanics, where he helped his community and non-community members with minor to major repairs in mechanics. His passion was helping people, especially children in his community. He would take his walks with his cousin Regina Hunt, his door was always open to friends and family, Binki was always smiling and had coffee going for his visitors, he enjoyed the company. He worked with Blood Tribe Police Foot Patrol, he would ensure the safety of the community and co-workers throughout the night. He participated with work training with Kainai industries, where he would build homes on the reserve. He gained his custodian/maintenance certification through this training. Binki was well known for his love of music especially Pink Floyd and the love of his grandchildren.
Binki was predeceased by his parents Narcisse Sr. & Mary Blood; brothers: Narcisse Jr., Marvin & Johnny; maternal grandparents: Joe Sr. & Clara Heavy Head; paternal grandparents: Alfred & Lucy Blood, Rosie Pace; niece: Nicole Red Crow; nephew: Colin Bullshields.

A viewing will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 9:00 - 11:00 am with a Family Service to follow at 11:00 am. (Due to COVID - Only 20 people will be allowed into the service) Interment to follow at Blood Band Cemetery.
