BLANCH COLLEEN (LOW) BOWLBY, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2025 in the Cardston Hospital surrounded by family at the age of 91. She is survived by her children; Peggy (Joe) Botelho, Wendy Bultsma, Charlotte (John) Hansen, Shelly (Eric) Spencer, Karen (Everett) Morton, Craig Bowlby, Dianne (Elbert) Paxman, Scott Bowlby, and Guyla (Warren) Glennemeier along with 37 grandchildren, 78 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. They will miss her dearly, but are certain she is enjoying many long-awaited reunions on the other side. She is predeceased by her parents William Ervin Low and Doris Elizabeth Taylor Low, her siblings Andrew Low, Monty Neilson, and Erva Armsworthy, son-in-law Brian Atwood, and husband Guy William Bowlby. Starting at her birth in Whiskey Gap, Alberta weighing in at only 3 lbs, she was blessed with many miracles of surviving and enduring over her mortal life. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a devoted farm wife of 67 years. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, embroidering, creating clothespin dolls, playing crib, telling funny stories and rocking babies. Her laugh was distinct and infectious. We have no doubt she is telling silly stories on the other side as a little dog named Mindy and a snobbish cat named Tipper are at her feet.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (South Hill Chapel, 950 Main Street Cardston) on Saturday, January 11 at 11:00 am. Friends may meet the family from 10:00 – 10:45 am prior to the service. Interment to follow in the Taylorville Cemetery.
