It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loving father, son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, Ernest “James” Brave Rock. James was born on October 1, 1987 in Cardston, Alberta and passed away unexpectedly on April 1, 2023 in Lethbridge, Alberta. He was only 35 years old. His family and friends are deeply saddened by his sudden death.
James spent all his life on the Blood Reserve, with Stand Off being his main home. He attended Stand Off Elementary, Middle School and High School on the Blood Reserve. Later in life he met Misty McNabb and both welcomed their beautiful daughters Clarissa, Kiera and Jaylynne. He loved and adored his girls the most. James was truly the happiest when he was with his girls. James was a doting protective Dad and did his best to the very end. James was full of life, always on the go. You should see him picking and selling mint and sage or collecting recyclables so his girls can have treats. He enjoyed his music, movies, basketball and being a self proclaimed “Outlaw”. He was a very handsome man, always taking pride in his appearance. James was very popular, everyone knew James. For his close circle, he would have your back and would never back down from a fight, a true warrior and protector. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
