Kayla was also a descendant of Chief Red Crow and Chief Shot Both Sides and Long Time Pipe Woman. A rich lineage which she was close to hence her large extended family who all had a connection with her. Kayla was the first daughter to Rj and Rose, being their first baby and only child for 7 years; she was spoiled from the very start of her life! Everyone in the Across The Mountain family and grandma Moyra were overjoyed with her arrival as she was a first for her parents. Rj and Rose threw big birthday parties for Kayla and everyone had to be there. Kayla was taken extra special care of by her aunts Lisa, Christine and Evelyn and her cousins Cammy, Nora and Melanie. Rj would often tell the kids, “come, play with Kayla” of course everyone loved to play with Kayla she always had the best and newest toys! She was known as the “Toys R Us kid!” Grandpa Martin and grandma Theresa always had to make sure they bought her new clothes on their many travels and always made sure they had pop! Grandma Moyra raised Kayla right alongside Rj and Rosemary. Moyra would always make sure Kayla had all her needs met and provided a warm and cozy home for her baby. Kayla would often go home with her cousins and Moyra would tell all the kids, “You call me grandma too!”
When Kayla was 7 years old, Rj and Rosemary brought a baby sister home for Kayla although it was hard for Kayla to adjust, she quickly developed an unconditional love and was very protective over Lorena. Rj and Rosemary loved to travel with their girls and host many birthdays, halloween, new years and even valentines day parties for their girls. It was very rare that you would see the four of them separated. Upon attending school, Kayla couldn’t do it without her sister and best friend Cassie. Rosemary would often ask teachers to have Cassie sit with Kayla for the day. Kayla’s two biggest fears in life were school and mice! Although she fought not to go to school, her parents made sure she went and she attended Levern school, Glenwood school and TMS. In the fall of 2010 Kayla welcomed her twin babies Marcus and Mackenzie. Mason and Skylar followed soon after. Like Kayla, her children were just as spoiled! Kayla loved her children and provided only the newest clothes and toys for them. Unlike Kayla, her children enjoy school and often kept the family busy with their many school activities. Upon the loss of her love Tim, Kayla often distanced herself and never did get over the grief, Tim was truly the love of her life and showed her unconditional love, happily took in Marcus, Mackenzie and Mason as his own. Tim blessed Kayla with the family baby Skylar. Kayla was a very special person to everyone, losing her love Tim and her parents was devastating for her. Life was challenging and unkind to her, although we will mourn her loss, we take comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her loved ones. Kayla was loved by many and made friends everywhere she went. The family apologises for any names missed. Kayla Jo Beans will be deeply missed.
A Wake Service will be held on Friday, September 13 at Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve from 7:00 – 11:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 14 at Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve at 12:00 pm. The Interment will take place in Pioneer Cemetery, Levern.
