COOPER, RANDAL DOUGLAS
Passed away peacefully Friday, May 19th at Garden Vista in Magrath. Born February 4, 1946 in New Westminster, B.C. He is survived by his siblings Tina Reid, Gary (Shirley) Cooper, Michelle Heggie, Peggy (Joe) Pannell, Mary Ann (Ron) Johnson and sister-in-law Carol Cooper.
He was pre-deceased by his parents Mary and L.B. Tanner, his siblings Craig Tanner, Jon Cooper, Lon Cooper and brother-in-law Calvin Heggie.
Randal attended school in the Vancouver area, Calgary and Lethbridge. After serving a mission in France for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he attended University at BYU where he graduated with distinction in Graphic and Environmental Design. He moved to Vancouver where he worked in the Hospitality industry for both the Hyatt Regency and the B.C. Place Stadium where he enjoyed meeting many celebrities. His interests were many and varied – design, music, current events and movies. He loved his family and enjoyed many holidays and trips with them. He especially valued his association with his cousins and they were a great support and influence in his life. He was excited to be re-united with his grandparents and his dear mother Mary Tanner whose devotion and love inspired her family. A special thank you to the friends he made at the Diamond Willow Terrace in Magrath and to the care given to him at the Garden Vista.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 24th at the Magrath Cemetery at 5:00 p.m.
