It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Frederick Trevor “Tazz” Crosschild, indian name “Poanstii”. Trevor passed away peacefully at home on January 6th 2024.
Tazz had grown up on the Blood Reserve with numerous cousins and friends. He attended Cardston, St Mary’s, Lethbridge, and Calgary schools. In the summers he would go to Eden Valley to visit his other relatives. He always had the nicest clothes, coolest cars and lots of friends wherever he went. After high school he met his first wife and they had two kids together: Brandon and Shanelle Scout. He went to the University of Utah in Salt Lake City to obtain his Mechanics Diploma and became a Certified Journeyman in automotives, he had a passion for mechanics like his father Tuffy and he also knew how to play the guitar.
He was always proud of his family and his children. Tazz was a very kind, humble, caring and giving man. he was known for being humourous and always lighting up the mood wherever he went. he wasn’t just someone’s uncle, he was everyone's uncle or brother. he was always giving to those around him, never expecting anything in return. He had two children Brandon and Shanelle Scout who he loved very much, he always spoke of them and wanted them to know how much he loved them. Tazz would often go check on his loved ones and see if they needed anything. Recently he made some donations to the stand-off shelter and gave some meals to those who needed them. He had a lot of friends wherever he went. He was always telling crazy stories and crazy jokes, Tazz was clearly loved by many.
