It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of JILLIAN MICHELLE CROW CHIEF (Issitsimmaakii) in the early morning of October 11, 2018 in Lethbridge Alberta at the age of 28 years. Jillian was born in Fort Macleod, Alberta on January 27, 1990 to Patrick Crow Chief and the late Julia Eagle Speaker.
Jillian was blessed with a beautiful daughter: Tayler Kai Crow Chief.
She leaves to mourn her baby Tayler Crow Chief and her father Patrick Crow Chief; 1 brother: Patrick (Leanna) Willows; and 5 sisters: Melissa (Stevie) Willows, Jessica Eagle Speaker, Amelia (Clarence) Willows, Tricia (Todd) Willows and her baby sister who she cherished so, Amber (Randall) Crow Chief. Jillian also leaves to mourn 22 nieces and nephews: Tia, Taliyah, Wiley, Rome, Marshall, Ryder, Elias, Echo, Damon, Ty, Kadin, Dante, Thane, Mylie, Sonny, Jay, Brandon, Baby Randall, Tanye, Trista, Tayte, Trayceon, and Dayton. Aunties: Corina Crow Chief, Georgina Medicine Crane, and Abbie (Richard) Eagle Speaker. Uncles: William (Carma) Crow Chief, Duane (Wilma) Crow Chief, Morton (Joan) Eagle Speaker, and Seymour (Wanda) Eagle Speaker.
Jillian lived a full life and dedicated all her time to her daughter who she loved so much. She was a very loving mother and gave Tayler the world.
Jillian was very helpful around the house. She also knew carpentry and mechanics. She spent a great deal of time with her father and that is where she learned many valuable life lessons.
She lost her mother at the young age of 16 years which left a huge hole in her heart.
Jillian attended elementary school in Standoff and Lethbridge. She later attended Jr high and high school at the Tatsikiisaapo’p middle school and the Kainai High School. She moved to Lethbridge and started school at Red Crow College to further her education, that is when she began to get sick.
She was the best sister and friend any one could ask for.
Jillian is predeceased by her mother Julia Eagle Speaker, her brothers Sykes and George Eagle Speaker, and a sister Alice Eagle Speaker. Maternal Grandparents Orton and Pauline Eagle Speaker and Paternal Grandparents Mary and Wallace Crow Chief. Aunts: Alfreda Crow Chief, Rose Marie Crow Chief, Ruth Eagle Speaker, Joanne Eagle Speaker, Kim Eagle Speaker, Uncle: David Eagle Speaker.
A Wake Service will be held at the White Calf Hall, Stand Off on Friday, October 19th from 7:00 - 11:00 p.m.
The Funeral Service will be at the White Calf Hall on Saturday October 20th at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
