It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jayden Crying Head on May 3, 2026 on the Blood Reserve. Jayden was born on February 22, 2001 in Lethbridge, Alberta to the late Nadine Crying Head. Jayden leaves to mourn his father, Harvey Many Fingers, sisters, Hannah, Nikki and Katelyn Crying Head. Niece, baby Elaine. Grandma Rita Many Fingers. Aunties, Audrey, Marcella, Lorraine (Barry), and Jennifer Crying Head. Uncle Gerald Crying Head. Great aunties, Elizabeth (Martin) Vielle, Pam Wadsworth, Wanda (Scotty) Many Guns, Evelyn Across The Mountain (Patrick), Christine (Melvin) White Man, Clothilda First Charger, Bernadette Wolf Child and Myrna Chief Moon. Great uncles, Jack and Steven Curly Rider, Dale Low Horn. Cousins also left to mourn Jayden’s passing are Ernest Newman, Charlene (Alan) Rowland, Kelly, Phillip, Tamara, Andrea and Bernie (Lisa) Crane Chief. Jayden was predeceased by his mother, Nadine. Grandparents, Martin and Geraldine Crane Chief, Pete Many Fingers. Great grandparents, Dan and Eileen Crane Chief, Rachel and Sebastian Crying Head. Aunties, Marilyn, Shannon and Stephanie Crying Head. Uncles, Lambert Many Fingers, Rodney First Rider and Lucious Wadsworth. Great aunts Doreen, Clara, Bernice, Linda (Micheal), Karen, Brenda, Sherry (Blaine) and Dolly Crane Chief, Theresa (Tom), Veronica, Annie, Mary and Agnes Crying Head, Joanne Wolf Child. Great uncles, Daniel, Douglas, Clarence, Jonas, Roland (Vivian) and Cory Crane Chief and Steve Crying Head, Robert Bad Man, David Crane Chief and Frank Eagle Plume. 
Jayden grew up in the Little Chicago area with his sisters and many cousins. After the passing of his mother Nadine, Jayden along with his sisters were raised by Harvey Many Fingers. Jayden attended school at Ahsaopi elementary, TMS Middle school and Kainai High School. Although Jayden did not complete high school, he utilized the many training opportunities with Blood Tribe Employment and Skills Training and the Kainai Wellness Program. Jayden was very 
helpful around the house, especially with helping grandma Rita with technology such as her phone and satellite TV. Jayden also started driving at a young age. He would drive for dad Harvey at only 9 years old! Jayden’s hobbies included working out, going for walks, listening to music and playing his guitar like Billy Talent. Jayden also enjoyed attending the annual Kainai Indian Days celebration with grandma Rita. Jayden enjoyed watching the handgames during this time. Jayden also had a deep love for his puppy of eight years and was very sad upon his passing only one month ago. Jayden was funny, always making sister Hannah laugh, kind and had respect for everyone, especially elders. Jayden was also wise and very shy, Hannah often had to walk with him in public spaces. Jayden will be deeply missed by all who knew him. ​ 

A wake service will be at Senator Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve, Alberta on Sunday, May 24, 2026 from 7:00 - 11:00 pm. The Funeral service will also be held at Senator Gladstone Hall on Monday, May 25, 2026 at 12:00 pm. Interment to follow at Pioneer Cemetery.
