It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Our Daughter, Sister, Granddaughter, Niece, Cousin, and Friend. Tiarra Emily Jewel Crying Head was born to Amelia Morning Owl and the late Jonathon Crying Head. She passed away suddenly at the age of 22 in Lethbridge AB, on Saturday, November 1st, 2025.
Tiarra is survived by her Mother Amelia M.O. sisters: Hannah, Khloe, and Justice. Brothers: Lil Jon, Kobe C.H, and Anthony M.O. Special friend: Doricia Healy, Grandmother’s: Beverly Morning Owl, late Joan C.H, and Jackie C.H (Kurt B.S.H.). Great Grandmother: Alice Wolf Child. Grandfathers: Frank B.P, late Curtis Rabbit, late Joey E.P, and late Bernard GVB. Tiarra was close to her cousins on her mother’s side, they all grew up together at Grandma Beverly’s house: late Keyshawn, Makayla, Carrie M.H, Anthony M.Owl, Dashawn, Jovian, Riley C.H. She was close to Aapina’kos Crying Head and took him as a brother. Tiarra also had a sisterly-bond relationship with her cousins on her father’s side: Dara, Jaimee, Jayda, Madison, Matana, Taleaya, Baby Nellie, Nellie, Albertine, Tia, and Angel. Tiarra loved all her cousins, she enjoyed every moment with them. Apologize for anyone that was missed.
Tiarra was raised on the Blood Indian Reserve. She spent her early childhood years at the St. Paul’s building, Standoff, and the rest of her years at her Grandma Beverly’s. She went to school on the Blood Tribe at Aahsopii Elementary School, Tatsikiisaapo’p Middle School, and graduated with her Best Friend Angelina Day Chief at the Kainai High School. She was a kind, smart, bright hearted young lady; she made every teacher like her. One of her best achievements was when she won a bike through grade one up to grade five. Her middle school years she won Student of the Year multiple times.
Tiarra had a lot of goals she wanted to achieve, like becoming a nurse or a surgeon. She was attending school at the Red Crow Community College in the HCA Program, to pursue her dreams of being a nurse. Tiarra had a big loving heart and loved and cared for everyone that crossed her path, her loving heart was suitable for becoming a nurse.
During her spare time, she enjoyed going for morning runs, and journalling in her diary, as well as listening to her music, she said those were her therapy sessions. Her favorite music artist was The Weeknd, she also got the chance to see him in concert. She loved to sing and dance while she was cooking or baking for her family. Tiarra was a very clean person; her bed always had to be made as well as her room had to be clean. Whenever the house was messy, she never hesitated to clean up, that was one of her love languages, because she loved having her family come home to a clean house. Her very first job was housekeeping in Waterton at Bayshore Inn. Tiarra loved to shop, whatever she thought looked nice she would buy it. Growing up, Tiarra was raised in a Full Gospel Christian family. She enjoyed going to church with her mother Amelia, and grandma Beverly. In the summer during camp meetings, she would camp with her cousins and would attend the church services. Tiarra was baptized into the Full Gospel Christian Church. Tiarra had a strong relationship with the Lord and would always pray to him as well as read the word, her favourite bible verse was ‘John 3:16’. Tiarra was a caring, sweet, loving young lady; she had a lot of friends and family that loved her. She will be dearly missed by a lot of people who knew her. Tiarra is now happily reunited with her father: Jonathan Crying Head, Cousin: Keyshaun M.H, Grandparents: Joan C.H, Joel E.P, Curtis Rabbit. Uncles: Sheldon and Barry Crying Head. Great Grand Parents: Steve and Bertha Crying Head, Patrick and Threasa Eagle Plume.
A Candlelight Vigil will be held on Thursday, November 20 at 5:00 pm at 643 Silkstone Pt. W, Lethbridge. A Wake service will be held at Senator Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve, Alberta on Friday, November 21 from 6:00 - 11:00 pm and continuing all night at Beverly Morning Owl's residence. The Funeral Service will also be held at Senator Gladstone Hall on Saturday, November 22 at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place in the Crying Head Family Cemetery, Blood Reserve.
