It is with a sincere spirit of reverence that we announce the quiet passing of our dearly beloved Gloria Jean Dalli, age 84, on March 14th, 2022. She was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and had the opportunity to return to her homeland this past summer. Cardston became her home twenty-eight years ago along with her dear friends, Elfriede Schaaf and Ruth Baur, where she continued to foster a legacy of hope for all who knew her. She travelled to many different countries. Her world tour with Elfriede was a memory of a lifetime. Her service for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was paramount. She fulfilled every calling given her including missions, temple service, and Institute Instructor, to mention a few. These acts of selfless love gave her great joy and peace. Her love of the Saviour, Jesus Christ was crystal clear.
She will be lovingly remembered by her closest friend, Elfriede, and siblings Jackie (Frances MacQueen), Marie (Donnie) Macisaac, Helen MacQueen (Joe Haculack deceased), Richard MacQueen (Polly deceased), Jane (Sam) Buran, Ann (Allen) Higginson, Joe (Marg) MacQueen, Mike (Annick) MacQueen, Patsy Jacobs (David), Valerie (Don) Pearcey, Janet (Alex) MacLean, and Suzanne (Mike) Mulhall. Also, by her many nieces, nephews and their families who carry so many happy memories of Gloria in their hearts. Gloria was predeceased by Elfriede’s sister, Ruth and Ruth’s son, Frank. Also, her adoptive family, including her father, Consiglio Dalli, mother, Leontine Zapataguillena and siblings, Marguerite Vivian Nichols, Dorothy Annetta Ferguson, Clara Annie Dalli, Helen Marie Harrison, Kathleen Theresa Turcotte, John Vincent Dalli, and Earl Douglas Dalli. She was also predeceased by her biological mother, Patricia MacQueen Haggell and three brothers, Bruce, Norman and Brian MacQueen. The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cardston Alberta West Stake Centre, (846 -1 Ave West), Cardston, AB., on Saturday, March 19th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in the Cardston Cemetery.
