CHARLES WAYNE DAVIS JR., husband of Tara Day Chief, passed away in Lethbridge on July 4th, 2017 at the age of 37.
Charles “Pokohksisiinaa” – Little Nose Man; he received his Blackfoot name from his great grandma, the late Rosie Davis. This was her little brother, Joe Healy’s, Blackfoot name) was blessed to Charles Wayne Davis, Sr. and Christine S. Davis on July 27, 1980 in Cardston, AB; was called home to our Heavenly Father on July 4, 2017 at the young age of 37 years.
Charles was raised on the Blood Reserve and received his education at Cardston High School. Throughout his childhood one of his greatest passions was to play hockey; he was always involved in team hockey and family ranching with his father and brother. Loved to work and always kept busy, whether it was helping with dishes or cleaning; he worked at various employments, such as; SRI Homes and Triple M Housing.
Charles is survived by his loving wife: Tara Day Chief; one son: Trenedy Scout; three step children: Hudson, Michael, and Michaela; one brother: Darcy Davis (Leeann); three sisters: Lena Davis (Robert); Jolayne Davis-Lueder; and Wynetta Davis (Shaun); God Father to: Brekken Heavy Shields (cousin Ayisha Heavy Shields’ son); several adorable nephews, nieces, extended family and relatives too numerous to mention. Families include: Big SorrellHorse, Scout, Healy, Fox, Small Face, Williams-Freeman, Heavy Runner, Twigg, Hind Bull, Bents, Big Swallow, Weasel Moccasin, Plume, Bruised Head, and Young Pine. He was predeceased by grandparents Margaret Davis, Frank Big Sorrel Horse, Morris & Margaret Hind Bull; great grandparents Charlie & Rosie Davis, James & Rosa Twigg. The family apologizes for anyone we missed.
Charles was a very kind natured young man, generous, thoughtful, and a hard worker. He was loved by all, will be sadly missed and in our hearts forever.

A Family Service will be at the South Hill Chapel, Cardston on Friday, July 7th at 6:00 p.m. followed by the Wake Service from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be at the South Hill Chapel, Cardston on Saturday, July 8th at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the Davis Family Cemetery.
