Keyshawn Lane Devine, beloved son of Elaine Hairy Bull and Troy Devine passed away on the Blood Reserve on April 10,2025 at the age of 23.
Keyshawn was born on January 28, 2002, in Lethbridge Alberta. He began his Education in Lavern and Cardston Elementary School and the Tatsikiisapo’p Middle School. Keyshawn excelled in all his classes and was an exceptional student.
As Keyshawn got older, he began to appreciate his alone time, this is when he became a “gamer” enjoying his video games. Being so smart and intelligent, he excelled in all things he put his mind to, this led to gaming becoming his sanctuary and recent plans to buy a PS5.
Keyshawn’s most valued time was spent with his parents, they would go out and enjoy the movies, shopping and cruising for endless adventures.
Keyshawn was Elaine’s teacher, anything she needed help with he was there to help and show her. They experienced many firsts together as he was her first-born child, Elaine would teach him, and he would take it a step further. When she bought him his first phone, he figured out all the ins and outs. The bond he created with his parents will forever be cherished. His legacy lives on through the countless memories he shared with all those around him.
“We don't have friends, we have cousins” Keyshawn considered Kaylee his best friend and the times they spent together were always filled with laughter and storytelling.
Grandma Agnes shares that when Keyshawn was little, Grandpa Johnny wanted him to be a cowboy, but Keyshawn didn’t want to.
Keyshawn was employed by Bayshore Inn at which he enjoyed the fresh mountain air and beautiful scenery, he was also employed with Blood Tribe Drug Harm Reduction, Security for Blood Tribe Clinic and the Food Bank.
