With heavy hearts the Eagle Speaker - Mosquito family announces the loss of our beloved Farley Seymour Eagle Speaker, aka “Shorty” on October 17, 2025 in Cardston Hospital, Alberta at the age of 69 years.
Farley was known as Shorty to everyone. He had friends wherever he went. He had a big heart for his friends and family, especially his two sisters Florette and Felicia Eagle Speaker. Shorty loved his Peyote meetings and Pow -Wows. Shorty had a special bond with all his loved ones. He is survived by his children Ty, Skyler, Sedrick, Tyrone and Shannon.
Farley is predeceased by his grandparents Charles & Julia Eagle Speaker; parents Lola Eagle Speaker and Frank Mosquito; uncles Clifford (Cecilia) Eagle Speaker, Orton (Pauline) Eagle Speaker, Glen (Leona) Eagle Speaker; aunties Elizabeth Fuller and Ruby Eagle Speaker; brothers & sisters Frank (Sonny) Eagle Speaker, Fidel Eagle Speaker; cousins Nora, Kenneth, Dwayne, Abbey, Kim, Neal, Marlin, David, Julia, Joanne, Ruth, Mardis, Tina, Sykes, Betty, Tim, Roland, Tonya, Betty and Trina Turning Robe.

A wake service will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston, Alberta on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. A funeral service will also be at Legacy Funeral Home on Thursday, October 23 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Stand Off, Alberta.
