It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Brother, Cousin and nephew Travis Fair Chief Calf, who passed away peacefully on March 28, 2022 in Lethbridge AB at the age of 29 years. Travis was born on March 13, 1993 to the late Marlene Hairybull and Milton Fair Chief Calf. Travis is Survived by his partner Samantha North Peigan, his sisters; Sarah (Skyler) Kristin (Tasha), Sonya (Lanny), Thrista (Brennan), his brothers; Nakoda (Aaliyah) and Ritchie Jr (Maisy), his nephew and niece who he truly adored; Dakoda and Avyanna, his Auntie’s; Carol Cotton and Betty Cotton and his auntie/mom Rose Chief Calf. Travis is predeceased by his Parents, Marlene and Milton Fair Chief Calf, Grandparents Edwardine and Frank Fair Chief Calf, and Emil Napope. Uncle /father, Ritchie Chief Calf and Brother Christian Chief Calf.
Travis was a quiet and calm person who was easy to get along with. He had a kind soul that was very welcoming. He always looked serious, but his sisters and brothers always managed to get a smile or laugh out of him. Travis was well known in the downtown community of Lethbridge where he was talked about by friends and frontline staff in a positive manner. Travis had a love and passion for art and music, he was very creative, talents which he took after his late Father Milton. Travis enjoyed listening to classic rock music and playing the guitar, especially from the band KISS in which his father also taught him. During Travis’s teenage years he enjoyed skateboarding with his brother Christian and friends, he also enjoyed playing slow-pitch with the family team. Travis is the true definition of a Warrior, he has endured a hard life after losing his parents and grandmother but he never gave up. He battled hard for a better life for himself and his spouse Samantha. Our family will immensely miss our Brother, cousin and nephew, Travis. Although we are deeply saddened that he has taken his journey home, we are comforted in knowing that he is reunited with his parents, grandmother and brother.
The Wake Service will be on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Holy Grounds Ministries Church, Blood Reserve from 6:00 pm - all night. The Funeral Service will be held at Holy Grounds Ministries Church, Blood Reserve on Friday, April 8 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
