With great sorrow we announce the passing of Gail Giselle First Charger on December 25, 2023 at the age of 66 years old. Gail was born to Clotilda First Charger and the late Leo Chief Moon on January 20, 1957 at the Blood Indian Hospital. Gail was raised by the Scout Coulee on the Blood Reserve with her grandmother Dora, mother and siblings; sisters: Suzanne, Brenda and Wendy; brothers: Rex, Ivan and Murray; cousins: Peggy and Marlene Chief Moon. She received her education at Lavern and St. Mary’s and she also went to Lethbridge Community College for Life Skills training. Later on, she met the love of her life Elvis Shot Both Sides, they had Caroline (deceased), Casey (deceased) and one surviving daughter Chantelle. Her grandchildren are Dwight (Shyanne), Naiomi, Nikitas, Thaddeus, Damillion, Julian, Neveah, Sidney, Tristen, Daesha, Casen, Genoa, Nova and Shadaya. She was employed at Cobblestone Restaurant, and also had jobs in Waterton and Calgary. She loved attending church through her faith in God. She loved her gospel music and fellowshipping with her brothers and sisters in Christ.
A Wake Service will be held at Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve on Friday, January 5 from 7:00 - 11:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Gladstone Hall on Saturday, January 6 at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place in Pioneer cemetery in Lavern, AB.
