His Grandparents Janine First Rider and the late Kevin Vielle and Linda and Craig Fox. His great grandmother Joyce First Rider, godparents: Lucille First Rider and Les Singer.
He is also survived by his aunties: Kelly Old Shoes, Germaine (Gregory) Cat Face, Brandi Fox, Tamari Fox, Vanessa Vielle, Melanie Old Shoes, Marlene Goodrider, Leslie White Bull . Great Uncles: Charles (Trina) First Rider, Melvin (Christine) White Man, Patrick White Man, Jeff (Doreen) Fox. Kellan comes from a large family stemming from First Rider, Fox, Vielle, Wolf Child, Good Rider, White Man, and Whitebull.
Kellan was born a month earlier than his due date and spent time in the NICU at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital. He was loved by all who came to visit. He was released from the hospital a week later, and was welcomed home by his loving parents, his brothers and sister. When he was a month old, he developed RSV and spent another week in the pediatric ward.
He was spoiled by everyone and was everyone’s baby and was protected by all. Growing up he was close to his big brother Leland and they did everything together. He learned a lot from his older siblings and tried to follow them. He was a fast learner in everything that he was being taught by his parents and siblings.
He started preschool in the year 2018 at the Park Meadows Elementary School. He loved going to school and was eager to go every day. He got along with all his schoolmates and all his teachers. His favorite thing to do in school was recess and music therapy, where he would join in on all the dancing and even following his schoolmates.
In the year 2020, he started online schooling but did not feel comfortable because he preferred to be in class. He tried hard to succeed in online school only to find it difficult to listen to the teachers.
In 2021, he was diagnosed with nonverbal autism. It was noted that when he progressed in certain aspects in life he would go back a couple of steps. He started to get better when he learned about the iPad and all the things he can do. He became smart using the programs/apps it had and started to progress where he should have been.
Kellan is predeceased by his sister Damaris Goodrider. His maternal grandfather Kevin Vielle, and paternal grandfather Martin Goodrider. His maternal great grandparents Herman and Joesphine Vielle and Randolph First Rider. His Paternal grandparents Reggie and Leona Whiteman, Margaret and Frank Goodrider. His aunties and uncles: Tyler Twigg, Sheryl Whiteman, Craig (C.J) Whiteman Jr and Bryce Day Chief. Great Uncles: Robert Calf and Ricky White Man. Cousins: Louisa Shouting, Takala Bad Arm, Tama Black Plume, and Richard Black Plume JR.
