Rhoda May Bottle (Four Horns ) Soop " Maano' stimmakii' (English Translation) "Brand New"
Mrs. Rhoda May Four Horns Of the Blood Reserve and Beloved wife of the Late Clement " Shorty" Soop Passed away peacefully at The Lethbridge Chinook Regional Hospital On Tuesday, April 26th, 2022 at the age of 79 years.
Rhoda is survived by her five children: Larry (Sara) Shouting, Don (Yvonne) Shouting, Donna (Joe) Bottle /Plume Doris (Mohammad) Bottle/Tlili, Roseanne Bottle. Rhoda and Shorty raised three Grand Children as their own Renee Bottle, Jericho Bottle, and Donald Bottle. She is also survived by numerous Grand Children/Great Grand Children whom she loved all so dearly. She will be greatly and sadly missed by us all. She is also survived by her Brothers and Sisters: Roddy Bottle, Ruby Eagle Tail Feathers, Jake (Caroline) Mountain Horse, Joanne Mountain Horse (Twigg), Arnold (Bianca) Mountain Horse, Kevin Mountain Horse, Sharon Mountain Horse, Aunts Mae Singer, Christine (Irvin Shade); As well as numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and adopted Grandchildren and adopted nieces and nephews. Rhoda loved everyone and was loved by everyone. She will be Deeply and Greatly missed. Rhoda was pre-deceased by her one daughter Laura Augustina Bottle, two grand daughters Camila (Daisy) Shouting, and Leslie Ann Shouting; Parents Duncan Dallas Bottle and Eileen Bottle (Heavy Runner) Mountain Horse; Step Father Wallace Mountain Horse; Sisters Patricia Bottle; Nephew John Heavy Runner. Rhoda spent the majority of her life on the Blood Reserve caring for brothers and sisters and caring for her children and nieces and nephews; she also loved to decorate her home. She had many talents too numerous to mention and she worked at the Garment Factory in Brocket and The Old Kainia Newspaper on the Blood Reserve as a custodian and also worked at the old and new Treatment Center on the Blood Reserve in housekeeping and as a cook. Rhoda was a wonderful mother; she shared stories of her life with her children; she enjoyed her Spiritual Life Journey; she was a big part of the Sundance Ceremonies and enjoyed participating in Sweats and Night Lodges with her family. The Wake Service will be held on Friday, May 6 at the Tanner Center (260 1 St W), Cardston from 6:00 - 11:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blood Reserve on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11:00 am with Father Pawel Andrasz officiating. Interment to follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery.
