It is with deep sorrow that we announce and mourn the passing of Jordan Gros Ventre Boy, who is from the Blood Reserve, AB. Brings joy and comfort to the family knowing he has gone onto join his parents Cecilia Gros Ventre Boy and Anthony Tony Wolf Child, on September 24, 2025 at the age of 68.  Jordan, a Father, Brother, Uncle, Friend, Nephew and Grandpa was born at the Blood Indian Hospital on April 21, 1957. Jordan’s proudest achievements were his girls, he was an “old school” type of father, very protective, stern with his ways and had instilled caring values and beliefs into his girls. Teaching them to always try hard no matter what, and to be forgiving. He had a particular way about his food, he preferred “real food”. Daughter Vanessa always in kitchen cooking him his dishes. He had enormous amount of love and pride in his children, grandchildren and his family. His life became about his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. First born grandson Tyreese began his Grandpa journey! He had soon become obsessed with making sure all his grandchildren and grandbabies had everything they needed. He did not hesitate to help with his grandbabies. His pride and joys of life and mustn’t forget his Christmas baby Tamara.
Jordan, although grandpa first, he became a father figure to his nieces and nephews. Giving them advice when they came to him with a problem, often find one of them in his room crying, or getting “lectured”, getting teased, or just visiting. He made sure all of the kids would be taken care of when he lived at Grandmas. He would scold the girls if they wore makeup, said their natural beauty would shine always. He cared for all his nieces and nephews, protective manner and would make his rounds to each of the houses. Checking on Eleanor, making sure she was good, especially after Oliver passed. He did not like to see her struggle, or cry or be sad. Told her he would always be there. That’s just the kind of uncle we will always remember. Genuine, caring and very loving. He was always making bizarre requests or asking Rebecca to help him do things. When He needed help, he knew he could ask one of his nieces. He counted on Wanda to always be there; his nieces became his daughters as well. He was proud of each one of them!  Jordan was fluent in Blackfoot language, rarely spoke English. You would often hear He and his siblings making fun of each other, teasing in Blackfoot. The jokes were always funnier when told in Blackfoot, that’s all they spoke when around each other. Jordan was one of main fluent speakers in the family. He and his siblings shared very special bonds, looking after on another. He was the big brother, “the oldest”. They admired and looked up to him. Jordan, along with his brothers became mechanics. “The Groovys” is the name they were recognized by. “You are not a Groovy until you can fix something!” They became quite the team and begun a family business. They loved the challenge of repairing vehicles. MaGyvers, figured it out, taking that time to manipulate wiring and making things work. Everyone would take their vehicles to them to check or fix. Grandmas back yard soon became an outdoor shop. He would fix his daughters’ vehicles; they didn’t have to worry if something broke. Jordan also did ammonite mining with his younger brothers. He did amazing art crafts. There was an incident one time where he fell in between cliffs upside down! Roland, Steven and Frances HR had to pull him out using a vehicle. A memory that still brings abundance of laughter to this day. He and his siblings’ humour was incredibly immeasurable. He loved cars, especially the classics. He had a small toy car collection. Jordan also loved Music! His stereo surround sound system was old school cassette playing with Huge speakers, but you could also play anything! Every person could name a song of his and tell a memory. His personality can be told by the music he loved. In his younger years he enjoyed horseback riding and skating on nearby ponds, with his brother Oliver. He had resided in numerous places Standoff Townsite, Levern (Little Chicago), Headquarters, and Moses Lake on the reserve with his family. Then he resided in his father's house on his land, near farm four area, making this his permanent home until his passing. He built himself a deck, did his own renovations, created a beautiful home for his family.
Jordan met his first wife (the late) Delores Hairy Bull in 1980 and they had four girls together, which He leaves to mourn Elaine (Troy), Vanessa (Denver), and Tamara Gros Ventre Boy.
