October 18, 1949 - June 6, 2024
Thomas Jack Hall returned to his heavenly home on June 6, 2024 and left a legacy of courage and resilience in his fight against cancer. Tom was born in Cardston on October 18, 1949 to Vern and Gladys Hall. He lived in the Cardston area where he was born and raised. He was a small town boy at heart.
After high school he served a faithful mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the California, Los Angeles mission. He returned home and married his high school sweetheart Patricia Ann Thomas. They ranched in the Boundary Creek area where they raised a family and lived for over 50 years.
Tom was a devoted member of his church where his unwavering faithful and tireless service left an indelible mark on all those he served. He served many years as a scout and young men leader, stake leader and ward bishop.
Tom was also an invaluable member of his community. Tom and Pat spent their weekends working with youth as leaders in the 4H Light Horse program for over 10 years. Tom was a pillar in his community, known for his unwavering dedication to giving service to anyone in need. Tom embodied the principles of compassion, kindness and selflessness that defined his life.
Tom was not only dedicated to his church and community but he was also a wonderful husband, father and grandpa. His family was his whole world. He tirelessly supported his family with love, compassion, and tireless commitment. As a husband, his affection for his wife was evident in the little gestures of kindness he showed every day. Tom showed devotion to being a father and grandpa in every aspect of his life. He was deeply involved in their lives and was always prioritizing their well-being and happiness. Tom’s support extended far beyond his immediate family to include his extended family as well. He was the dependable uncle, brother, and son everyone could count on; always ready to offer a helping hand or a shoulder to lean on.
The greatest tragedy in his life was losing his son Steven and the highlight was serving the Lord with his sweetheart Pat in the Illinois Nauvoo Mission. He spent a year tirelessly working to share his faith. Tom’s genuine kindness and openness allowed him to forge deep lasting friendships with people from all walks of life.
He is survived by his spouse Patricia Ann Hall of 53 years and their children; Ginger (Clint) Caldwell, Jeff (Kelli) Hall, Steven (deceased), Lara Hall-Jensen (Russ) and his 13 grandchildren.
His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who knew him.
