Together they both welcomed Sandy and not far along came Adam building a family life together and they were also blessed with Michelle in their lives.
Growing up Lila shared a bedroom with younger sister Jessie, together they covered their walls with posters of teenage heart throbs. Lila loved the band Paul Mc Cartney & Wings; her favorite song was Silly Love Songs among several other old songs from the late 70’s. She spent her greatest younger years in Old Agency having so much fun. During summertime she would ride horses in the dark playing tag with all the other Old Agency community kids. They all went swimming, bike riding, fishing, and berry picking among other fun activities they could muster up.
Lila played in a fastball rec league with the Old Agency Blues alongside her sisters Bella, Patsy and Jessie and friends Lori, Charlotte, Delphine, and Dorothy Mae. Walsh from grades 7-12. Lila attended Lethbridge Community College where she received her GED. She achieved her diploma and continued with her career as an Education Assistant and later on teaching her precious children as a Head Start Instructor with Kainai Board of Education for over 30 years. Lila took pride in teaching all her grandchildren as they entered their early school years. She enjoyed every one as they came through the Head Start as she beamed with pride as they all graduated from her program.
After retiring from the Head Start program Lila continued with her education in Social Work in which she obtained her Bachelor of Social Work with Red Community College. After her education she decided to return to work for a brief period at Amoksi Noka Sa for 6 months. After working she decided to devote her time to her children and grandchildren. She took every opportunity to watch her grandchildren excel in their sports. She was their #1 cheerleader. Mom enjoyed her time cheering on her grandchildren in every sport they competed whether it was hockey or basketball. Mom enjoyed celebrating her birthday with her sister Bella.
Lila was very humble, kind, considerate and very generous. She had a very full life and was very blessed with her children, grandchildren, siblings and family whom she lived her life for. She was very spiritual and followed in her parents’ footsteps by becoming a member of the Sacred Horn Society for 6 years she was also a member of the Pigeon Society. Just this past summer she was so very proud to see that her daughters’ Sandy and Paula decided to follow in her footsteps and become members of the same Sacred Horn Society.
