It is with saddened heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Billy Jo Heavy Runner on Sunday, July 2, 2023 in Cardston (Moses Lake), Alberta at the age of 30 years. Billy was a blessing on August 4th 1992 to Woody Calling Last and Lerae (Curtis) Wolf Child. We have heard nothing but good about our Billy. He was also the nicest guy you would have met. He was such a busy body always wanting to work. His favourite snacks were grandpa Dennis’s granola bars, cold cut meats and ice cold coca colas. He was never serious and laughed at everything we said. He loved his family so much especially his little girl Alexandra. Billy always included her in his conversations. “Billy we loved you, we cared for you, we prayed for you and hoped for the best for you!” “Life is what you make it and you made it beautiful, rest in peace with eternal sleep.” Billy leaves behind his grandfathers Alphonse (Marilyn) Standing Alone, step grandfather Dennis Iron Shirt. He was predeceased by Woodrow Calling Last. Grandmothers: predeceased Catherine Calling Last and Lenora Heavy Runner; uncles, Garrett (Corrine) Standing Alone, and Bucky Heavy Runner; great uncle: Rolland Iron Shirt, predeceased: Jix, Ashley, Terry and Kyle Calling Last. A Wake Service will be held at The Tanner Center, Cardston on Thursday, July 13 from 6:00 - 11:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Blood Reserve on Friday, July 14 at 11:00 am. Interment to take place at Blood Band Cemetery.
