A beloved son of our Heavenly Father has been welcomed home after a long life of charity, sacrifice and service to the Lord and family. He has left a lasting impression on the hearts of all those who were privileged to know him.
KENNETH EARL HOGENSON, born on February 13, 1923 at the Galt Hospital in Lethbridge, Alberta, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2016 in Cardston, Alberta. He has gone ahead to prepare a place for his family - his eternal companion and sweetheart, M. Kirby Hogenson (Clark); daughter, Holly Dee (Layne) Lybbert; son, Daryl Kenneth (Tricia Sillito) Hogenson; sisters: Lucille Waters and Shirley Peel; ten grandchildren: Spencer Lybbert, Maegan Kutanzi (Jayden), Emily Rennie (Ross), Alina Hogenson, , Kendra Lybbert, Julianna Hogenson, Colby Lybbert, Logan Lybbert, Alaura Lybbert, Ethan Lybbert; three grandchildren: Nash Rennie, Tennesse Rennie, Jaycie Kuanzi.
We see Ken being welcomed by his brothers Reed, Bill, and Clell; his nephew Marvyn Hogenson and many other family members and friends, too numerous to mention.
Ken worked hard throughout his life. His youth was spent on his father’s farm and thirty years as a Customs Officer in Coutts, while farming and ranching on the family farm in Stirling. As a young man, he served a faithful mission in Samoa; a second and third mission saw Ken and Kirby serve in Fiji and again in Samoa. They were also privileged to work in the Cardston Temple for thirteen years. He found great joy in his family and service to the Lord.
WELL DONE, THOU GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT!
