HOLMES
Nov. 21, 1943 ~ May 8, 2020
With great sadness we are sharing the passing of our mother and grandmother, GLORIA MARLENE HOLMES (RAHN), She passed away early Friday morning after a very short illness at the Chinook Hospital in Lethbridge, Alberta. She was 76 years old and was the beloved wife of Bert for 59 years. Together they had four loving children, Roxanne, Cally-Anne (Gino), Lance (Tammy), Nathan (Kaitlin) all of Ontario. They adopted one child, Colanne (Jesse) of British Columbia and fostered and loved hundreds of others including Sam, John and Jesse of Cardston, Alberta. She was also a wonderful grandma to 11. Gloria was always there for those in need. She not only provided a home to many, she provided a family and love to every person who walked through her door. There was always a seat at the table for anyone who needed to talk; there was always somewhere to sleep for those who needed shelter; there was always a hug for those who needed love. Gloria made a career and life taking care of others, she was kind; she was outspoken, and she could be a force to be reckoned with. Even though we can no longer see her with our eyes, or touch her with our hands, she will forever be in our hearts.
