It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved daughter, mother, sister, niece, and granddaughter, Lacey Lana Hunt-Scout (Aanaatsipistohkomi), who passed away February 22, 2026 at the age of 42 yrs.
Lacey was born in Cardston, AB on August 19, 1983 to Karen Hunt and Adlarde Weasel Head. She was the second of four children. Lacey was outgoing, strong, compassionate, and caring; an amazing person with a wonderful sense of humor. She was raised by her grandmother Sophie and Auntie (Auntie-Mom) Nadine in Fish Creek.
Lacey loved to cook and she would often get carried away cooking during family barbeque's and holiday feasts. Her specialties were her frybread and coleslaw.
Left to cherish Lacey's memory are her son, Derek; her Auntie-Mother, Nadine; her mother, Karen; her sister, Marisia, her Auntie Audrey (Joey); her Uncle Morgan; and her brothers Tenniel and Brett. She is also lovingly remembered by her adopted brothers and sisters, cousins Shauna (Cody), JL (Kash), Lorina; her nieces and nephews JJ, Corban, and Sophie; and her adopted nieces and nephews: Bentley, Ainsley Kelli, Peyton, Sara, Heyden, Jared, Kensie, Kylie and Brooke.
On her father's side, she is survived by her grandmother Diane; her Auntie Paula; and her Uncle Roland; her cousin sisters Amber, Darcie, Nakkina, and Agnes; and brothers Desmond, Franklyn, and Chris.
Lacey was predeceased by her father, Adlarde; her grandparents, Sophie, Leo, and Frank; her aunties and uncles Kelli, Terry, Keon, and Francis; and her adopted brothers, Dwight and Kyle.
The family extends their deepest apologies to anyone who may have been unintentionally mentioned.
