Kelly shared his life with so many friends and extended family.
In 1975-76 he was part of the Rodeo Circuit which was a family tradition, he travelled all over Southern Alberta competing in Boys Steer riding which led into Bull riding for about 2 years. Many prizes were won during his rodeo time. The rodeo lifestyle fueled his passion for riding horses which he enjoyed doing with his family and friends. In the years before his passing he got a security certificate. Working as a security guard in the local communities of Lavern and Moses Lake.
Kelly was also part of the original Fort Whoop Rattlers baseball team; the baseball stories are beyond crazy. His favourite hobby was being a back-yard mechanic, he loved buying old vehicles and fixing them up.
