It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Roland passed away at the Kanai Continuing Care Centre on November 28, 2025, at the age of 65 years old.
Roland lived in the Moses Lake area for many years until he found his permanent home in Standoff. Roland attended Cardston Schools. He enjoyed playing basketball and boxing, and later on he started helping his dad, Chester, do carpentry work. He met the love of his life, Rena Wolf Child, and together they shared their lives. You could always see them sitting on Main Street visiting with friends. He had a special bond with all his nephews and nieces and always had something to say to them. He loved his sisters, and he was a kind and very outgoing man who was always waiting for visitors.
He leaves to mourn his sister Colleen Iron Shirt; Christine Iron Shirt; Gwen and Wesley Shouting; Jennifer Heavy Runner; great-aunties Betsy Iron Shirt, May Heavy Runner, and Christine Shade; stepson William Wolf Child; granddaughter Destiny Wolf Child; and numerous nephews and nieces.
