BROYCE G JACOBS, 84, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2025, in Calgary, Alberta, leaving behind a legacy of love and faith. Broyce was born on July 29, 1940, in Cardston, Alberta to James Guy and Mary Jacobs.

Broyce grew up on the family ranch near Mountain View where he attended school through Grade 12. He then attended Ricks College in Idaho before serving a proselyting mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Norway for 2 1⁄2 years. Upon returning home, he attended Brigham Young University where he met and married his eternal companion Linda Sue Tebbs on September 4th, 1965. After graduating with a degree in Business Management, they returned to Mountain View, purchased land, and began ranching.

Broyce was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served as a leader and teacher for most of his life. He was also active in his community as a basketball coach and mentor for youth. Broyce loved to talk to people and serve them. This was evident in the way he ministered to and served people in his church callings and political service. Broyce had a strong interest in government and served both locally and provincially for over 35 years. He was currently serving as a Cardston County Councillor at the time of his passing.

Broyce was an avid reader of good books. He enjoyed running and always tried to be healthy. He also loved nature and loved being in the mountains in Waterton or driving through the countryside to see the pasture land and crops.

Broyce is survived by his wife, Linda, and their eight children, Jolene (Jeff) Strang, Troy (Stacy) Jacobs, Jacqueline (Edward) Baines, Jeff (Aubrey) Jacobs, Dereck (Adrienne) Jacobs, Chris Jacobs, Candice (Randy) Bullock, and Paula (Brett) Kapcsos, and by his sister Loma (Cal) Leishman and brothers Dennis (Diana) Jacobs and Ron (Diana) Jacobs. His pride and joy are his children, his 41 grandchildren, and his 15 great-grandchildren.

Friends may meet the family on Friday, March 21 from 7:00 - 8:00 pm at Legacy Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 22 at 1:00 pm at the Mountain View Chapel in Mountain View, Alberta. Friends may meet the family from 12:00 - 12:45 pm prior to the service.
