It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend Dion Robert Medicine Crane (Crow Chief). His native name was Aii waii kii toi pii (Rides one spiritual horse to the other spiritual horse). Dion left us suddenly on March 19, 2025 at the age of 59 years old. He was born in Cardston, AB on April 27, 1965. He leaves behind his greatest love his mother, Georgina Medicine Crane, whom he adored and would do any and everything for. He also leaves behind his brothers, Dino and Orson; sisters, Serena (Shaun), Roberta (Shawn); uncles, William (Carma) Crow Chief, Duane (Wilma) Crow Chief, Patrick Crow Chief; aunties, Corina Crow Chief, Maxine (Floyd) Big Head, Audrey Tallow; special nieces, Shonesty, Joann, Trinity, Ayslynn, Taysha, Layla, Valhalla; special nephews, Kraig, Trent, Jamie, Lyle, Jacob, Kayden, Tristen, Marley, Orion, and Prince. He was predeceased by his father Robert Medicine Crane; brother, Sykes Medicine Crane; niece and nephew, Julia Medicine Crane and Kyran Medicine Crane; paternal grandparents, Bob and Julia Medicine Crane; Maternal grandparents, Wallace and Mary Crow Chief; great uncles, Thomas Medicine Crane, Bert Medicine Crane, Charlie Crow Chief, Lewis Crow Chief, Gilbert Crow Chief, Issak Crow Chief; great aunties, May Bottle, Eva Spotted Bull, Gail Crow Chief; uncles, Gilbert Medicine Crane, Julius Medicine Crane, Clarence Medicine Crane; aunties, Mildred Medicine Crane, Treasa Medicine Crane, Rose Crow Chief, Ida Little Man, Alfreda Crow Chief. A Wake Service will be held at LEVERN Hall, Blood Reserve on Friday, March 28 from 7:00 - 11:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be at LEVERN Hall on Saturday, March 29 at 12:00 pm. Interment to follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Stand Off.
