MISTAKEN CHIEF
July 15, 1985- December 29, 2020
It is with great sadness and much love that we announce the passing of our sweet Twyla Lynn Mistaken Chief of Calgary, AB in the early morning of December 29, 2020, at the age of 35 years old.
Twyla will be lovingly remembered by her loving partner Jared Olds and her four precious children Teslyn, Kaylem, Liam, and Tristen who all meant the world to her.
Twyla was a strong woman, amazing and resilient in everything that she did. She had a heart of gold which she never hesitated to share with anyone. She was born in Lethbridge, AB on July 15, 1985. Her childhood was spent in Standoff, AB being raised by her Maternal Grandparents. Growing up Twyla attended schools in Magrath and Lethbridge, AB. As she got older, she began spending more time in Lethbridge, AB where she made many precious memories and lifelong friendships. When Teslyn and Kaylem were younger, she moved to Medicine Hat, AB where she had Liam. She then moved to Calgary, AB where she had Tristen and continued to raise her family. Twyla lived her days being a home-maker and loving partner to Jared but most importantly being an amazing mother to her children at their home. Twyla will be remembered for her sincere personality, beautiful smile and the most infectious laugh and the best jokes. She had an empathetic heart where she made everyone feel welcome, loved and understood. She didn’t judge and always knew how to support and empower her loved ones. She could always be found dancing and singing along to her favourite songs. She lived life to the fullest and was always ready for her next adventure. She had made many fond memories for all her loved ones to remember her by. She will forever be dearly missed.
She is survived by her nephews Jayden and Hunter, and Niece Everleigh who always had a special place in her heart. So many cousins she held close to her heart and held close personal bonds with each and everyone of them.
She was predeceased by her brother Everette Lee Mistakenchief. Her loving Mother Debbie Mistakenchief, her Father Curtis Mills, and her Maternal Grandparents Stephen and Elsie Mistakenchief.
A Viewing will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Thursday, January 7th from 9:00 - 11:00 am followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. (Due to COVID restrictions a limit of 10 people will be allowed in the building at a time.) Interment in St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
