 Wake Service - Monday, April 20 from 6:00 - 11:00 pm at Senator Gladstone Hall
Funeral Service - Tuesday, April 21 at 11:00 am at Senator Gladstone Hall.

It is with deepest sympathy that we announce the passing of William “Bill, Magoo” Mistaken Chief – Pa’ahtsiina who has made his journey to his beloved wife Sharon Anne Mistaken Chief and his ancestors. William was born on August 30, 1949, and passed away on April 12, 2026 at the age of 76. 
William met the love of his life Sharon and were together for 42 years. During those years, they raised all their children and have opened their hearts to many others.  The household was full of laughter, crying and sometimes many pranks from all the kids.  William was the father of Alica, Brad (Faith), Jono (Chrissy), Charles (Jessica), Cameron (Melissa), Hope, Charity (Christopher), Aidan, Clayton, CloAnn (Stan), Kara.
William was lucky to have a full family and had many grandchildren that he loved dearly. Grandchildren; CJ, Tyrese, Max, Skyler, Dillon, Faith, Piper, Amari, Torie, Tage, Taejuanne, Tracien, Taran, Tienan, Lillian, Beulah, Beatrice, Keanen (Kirsten), Kia, Kaiden, Myles, Madden, Tex, Kurtsie, Joseph, Whylie (Jasmine), Kirsten (Michael), Tristan, Addyson, Mackenzie, Lynzee, Bud , Ted and Justin.  Great Grand Children; Kelsey, Kylin, Malique, Malina, Jaxon, Tielar, Titus and Aspen, Taveah and Kelzer, Kaleah, McKinnley. God children: Darcy Mistaken Chief and Tyler Knowlton.
William had a big heart and took many children as his own; Tracy (Gary) Plume, Sandra Shouting, Cory (Lois) Beebe, Kailyn Plain Eagle, Maya Many Grey Horses, Logan (Lucas Spotted Horse) Spear Chief, Craig (Shannon) Wells, Justin Many Fingers, Lydia Low Horn, Eugene Brave Rock, Paula Healy, Jennifer Bullshields(Tony) and Gary DeGroot,  Tom Doyle, Tony (Lacey) Delaney, Lewis(Cheryl) Beebe, Shawn Many Grey Horses, and many more dad took as his own.  Sorry for the ones who were missed. 
William leaves his mother, Teresa Mistaken Chief (Mother) and siblings; Bert (Bella), Claudia (Johnathon) Red Gun, Duane (Paulette), Daniel (Teena), Rebecca, Marvin (Lydia), Lawrence (Cissy), Charles (Leanne) Mistaken Chief, Wade Crow Child and Brother In-Law Vernon Chief Moon (the late Brenda), Tara Red Crow, Frank Harrison, Late Eric (Nina) Buckskin. In-Laws: Bernice (Glen) Yellow Feet, Karen and Connie Shouting, Lorraine (Curtis) Iron Shirt, Verona and Heather White Man, Rusty (Philomena) Schindler, Marlene (Wes) Mistaken Chief, Marylin (Alphonse) Standing Alone, Michael Beebe, Sherwood (Clarice) Beebe, Pam (Martin) Heavy Head and Brenda (Bill) Weasel Fat. 
William was born at the Blood Indian Hospital on the Blood Indian Reserve, Alberta to Teresa and the late Phillip Mistaken Chief. William was blessed in having a second mother, Julia White Man Left. 
In his early years he attended St. Mary’s Residential School and then graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1969. William continued his education and attended Lethbridge Junior College then College of Great Falls where he studied Recreation Management. William travelled back home with his education and became the director of Recreation.  He furthered his education studying at the University of Lethbridge majoring in Urban Regional Management with a Minor in Engineering. William then worked for Blood Tribe Lands Department as the Acting Director then became the Director of Capital Tribal Planning was his final employment with the Blood Tribe. William then became a member of various boards; BTAP Board of Directors, Kainai Healing Lodge, Land Dispute Resolution Panel and then Appeal Tribunal. Dad’s lifelong dream was to become a Walmart greeter in Mesquite, Nevada for his retirement. 
One of his favourite passed times was attending auctions, where dad would have all the kids to go with him to hang out at the auctions and we would always come home with some type of treasures to add to his collection.
William loved his handgames that allowed him and mom to travel all over the USA and Canada where they stopped in at Casinos during their adventures. William played for various Hockey teams including Great Falls Warriors, Kainai Chief, Peigan Redmen, Tall Timber, Cree Coulee and was the goalie.  He farmed alongside his dad Philip and brothers. They started MC Brothers custom cutting and haying.  William enjoyed golf, bowling, pool, hunting, and fast ball with the Blood Seniors. William tried his hand at rodeo riding saddle bronc, calf roping with his trusty steed Pete.  William also traveled to Japan with his younger brother Charles when he was on the BTAP Board.
William enjoyed following the powwow trail, he danced traditional, grass and was most famous for Chicken Dancing. William also enjoyed playing hand games with Karen, Verona, Heather, Cory, Lewis and many others.
Williams travels include California, Arizona, Nevada, Pittsburgh, Japan, Washington, Toronto, Ottawa and Oregon.   William was a part of the Cree Coulee Rodeo Club including, Pat fox, Shane Wells, Lamont Healy, Lance Little Shields, Shane Little Bear, Russell Wells, Pat Twigg, Bruce Red Crow, Duane Mistaken Chief, Daniel Mistaken Chief, Calvert Many Grey Horses, Marvin Mistaken Chief, Bert Mistaken Chief and many more people.  Dad was a member of Inspol (Sports Organization) with Philip Mistaken chief, Wilton Little Child, John Fletcher, Floyd Buffalo and others.  
William enjoyed coaching hockey for the following teams, Kainai Chiefs, Kainai Flames, Kainai Native Sons (his sons’ team) and his most recent coaching his daughters Hope and Charity with the Kainai Ice Eagles with his son Jono Mistaken Chief, and his brother Charles Mistaken Chief.  
William enjoyed everyone in his life from far and near with all his jokes and pranks on his facebook friends and family.  William also would send random messages to everyone he loved and even send sarcastic comments to posts of his friends.  
Sharon and Bill were also the founders of the famous McYumYums that would be set up at powwows for the Tacos made with love.  William was a member of the Magpie Society and was the first Senior World Chicken dance champion. 
Special Friends that have been there for dad through out his life: Jerome Yellow Dirt, Brother Martin Heavy Head, Gilbert Eagle Bear, Jim & Betty Orich, Roy Fox, Bruce Fox, William and Van Singer,  Frank & Francis McCarthy, Ray Wolfe, Franklin Wells, Kirk Buffalo, Wayne & Diane Carlson,  Ray Arcand, Emil Cutknife, Sykes Powder Face, Dennis First Charger, Randy Bottle, Randy Many Finger, Boyd Low,  norm Grier, Jim Baird, Lloyd Price, Molly & George Kicking Woman.  Tom McNabb, Greg Smith, John McDougall, Kurt McDougall, the late Pat Fox, Ben Red Crow, Billy Wells, the late Greg Smith, Clarence Weasel Fat, Late Eric Buckskin and Bill Wright. We cannot forget his Ugly Stepchild Corwin Many Bears.
There was also the infamous Dumbass Ass Society of Brotherhood, which dad was the President, the late Narcisse Blood, Adam (sonny) Delaney, Gary (Twister) Tail Feathers, Dusty Red Gun, Calvin C Williams, Vincent (Foran) Spear Chief, Gilbert Wolf Child and Honourable member Duane Mistaken Chief.  
William is predeceased by his wife Sharon Mistaken Chief, Phillip Mistaken Chief (father), Julia White Man Left (mother), Grandparents, Jack Mistaken Chief and Anna White Man Left, Brenda Mistaken Chief (sister), nephews Darcy and Lennie Weasel Head, Buddy Mistaken Chief, nieces Noel Chief Moon, Shelby Mistaken Chief; Philip James Mistaken Chief, grand children Kelsey Young Pine, Clint Knife, daughter in law: Jessica Good Rider, grand daughter: Lesley Sweet Grass,  brother in laws: Franklyn, Randy, Duane Shouting, in-laws: Joe (Beatrice) Shouting, grandson Stone Black Rider.

The Wake Service will be held on Monday, April 20 from 6:00 - 11:00 pm at Senator Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 21 at 11:00 am at Senator Gladstone Hall.
