Joy graduated with one of her special friends Cynthia Wolf Child, At this time the two of them were inseparable. While in school she was working at the same time at Trading Post, with her little cousin tagging along working right beside her. Joy was very free spirited, outgoing and strong willed. Joy was a very hard worker, which became a part of her identity. she always accomplished every task she put her mind to. Joy loved the company of family and friends, no matter where she was in the world at that time, she would always call home to let everyone know how she was doing. Joy was fiercely protective and loyal to each and every one of her nieces and nephews, no matter the situation you would always find her a few steps away keeping an eye on all the baby's. Joy’s love for the ocean had her sailing the sea’s to New York City, Italy, then Browning. Before settling in British Columbia. Joy was giving the name “JOY-AKII”, and her name said everything about her. She was a very compassionate person to everyone and everything, including the people whom she crossed paths with. One of her many accomplishments was when she received her certificate in culinary arts from Powell River, BC. On her free time she would go shell fish hunting in the ocean, then Joy taught herself how to play guitar. Joy also taught herself how to fix any mechanic problem she was having, with any vehicle she was driving (instead of just bring it into the garage). Another accomplishment was receiving a certificate for chief security officer, from British Columbia Institute of Technology. Joy then began working in Surrey, BC Rod busting. She then ventured off to Fort McMurray, and began working for Northern Metis Catering. Joy came back to BC and began Rod busting for L.M.S. Reinforcing Group, then moved into construction work and working for Embers Staffing Solution in Vancouver BC. Her last accomplishment was when she began working for Atira Property Management, where she worked up till the present day.
