CASEY CHASE NELSON, age 42, passed away suddenly on December 8, 2025, at 5:36 p.m. at Chinook Regional Hospital, following complications related to kidney and heart failure.
Casey spent his childhood living in Cardston, Alberta, where he formed lasting memories and connections that remained an important part of his life.
Casey was soft-hearted and always willing to help others, a quality that defined who he was. He worked as a mechanic, a career he truly enjoyed and took great pride in. Outside of work, Casey loved boating and surfing, riding dirt bikes and quads, and spending time with family and friends. He had a special passion for working on cars, especially his yellow 1992 Chevy single cab short box, and he cherished participating in Street Wheelers with his family. Casey was also joyfully anticipating becoming a grandfather, a role he was deeply proud of and excited for.
Casey is survived by partner Ashley Hansen; his sister, Raven Shade; his nephew, Kourt Nelson; and his daughter, Taya Nelson (Alex).
He was predeceased by his father, Bart; his mother, Robin; and his brother, Nick.

Casey’s life, though too short, was filled with love, kindness, and meaningful connections. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion (30035 Range Road 253) on January 17th from 6pm to 10pm, it will be a casual evening in remembrance of Casey Nelson. We would like to make this a potluck event, if you are able to bring a light dish to share that would be much appreciated.
