HELEN RUTH NICHOLAS aged 59 years, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Cardston Auxiliary Hospital, Long Term, after many years of ill health.
Helen was born in 1956 in Southend on Sea, Essex, England. The Family came to Canada in 1968. She is predeceased by her father, Oliver Nicholas and mother, Irmgard Kosteed.
Helen is survived by her five brothers, Robert of England, Mark of B.C., Marlon of Cardston, Jonathan of Winnipeg, Jason (Anastaslia) of Airdrie; nephews & niece, Andrew, Michael (Ingrid), Benjamin, Dustin, Brian, Lily, Rebekah (Marcel); step-mother, Margaret Nicholas.
Helen has been a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has served 2 missions. The first as a young adult in 1978 in The Canada Winnipeg Mission, and then in 2001 - 2003 in the Canada Employment Resources Service Mission.
Helen loved her service in the Temple and was sad when the time came that she could no longer attend. Her greatest joy was being able to do the Temple work for her Mother and then being sealed to her parents.
The family wishes to express their thanks to all the staff at the hospital in Long Term for all their loving kindness to Helen and also to Dr. Brian Low and Dr. Wilde for their care all these years in making Helen’s life as good as it was possible.
The Funeral service will be held at the Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.
