In Loving Memory of Rose Marie Dawn No Runner
Marie was born in Edmonton, Alberta on April 15th, 1963. She grew up on the Blood Reserve through her early childhood. She later went on to graduate at St Mary's High school on the Blood Reserve. Marie went to continue her education at Lethbridge Community College where she achieved her diploma. Her son Shamus would stay up late to help finish her assignments, after he noticed her crying because she was worried about meeting her deadlines. Mom chose childcare because she loved being around little children and when they grew up they would often stop and give her a hug and say hi. Marie would accompany her late husband Robert on numerous race meets, and not far behind would be Laney boy!! The 3 amigos who would often travel throughout Alberta and Montana, racing his uncle Donald No Runners thoroughBreds.
You would always find Marie in the kitchen. She loved to cook and make many delicious meals for her family to enjoy on special occasions or you would find her baking something good in the oven. She was often the teacher and mentor to her daughter in laws as she loved to show people how to cook. Maria and her daughter Shay were inseparable, you would not find one without the other, and her baby girl Momo was not far behind. Marie and her baby Monroe shared a special bond, she did everything for Monroe she would often tell Shay I think you had my baby. Shania the baby of the family was always with mom and dad. She loved them dearly as she was the Baby of the lot. Marie loved it when she would go to see her older sons Guy and Shamus play football. You could hear her screaming from the sidelines at the top of her lungs!!
Mom was a mother to all of Lane, Shay, Guy, Shamus and Shania's friends and cousins that would come over to the house. She was very fond of the boy's childhood friends, Levi and Todd who she took as her own sons, as they addressed her as Mom. She would often travel to various hockey games or tournaments to watch her granddaughters Cash and Monroe play hockey. Marie was very proud of their accolades and accomplishments. Mom was loved by all, her sweet caring nature was what drew people to her, as it would make a lifelong friend or bring a new son or daughter into the family. Her friends that were more like the sisters she never had Shauna and Stacy would always be there when she needed help or a shoulder to cry on. She was grateful for the love and support from them and their families. Marie Left us suddenly and peacefully at home on the Blood Reserve on Thursday, December 15, 2022.
