Jalisa is survived by her parents Pamela (Shawn) Little Bear and Timothy Pace; her ‘second mom’ Wanda (Andrew) Day Chief; ; siblings Shayna, Timara (Sterling),Bai-Lee (Bauer), Darcia, William, Ryder, Bo, and Cohen; Grandparents Margaret and Joe Knife, Louise Eagle Plume, and Mary Pace; Aunts Monica (Robert) Beebe, Deanna (Kelly) Day Chief, Deborah, Celia, and Tina Pace, Ann (Gerard) Fox and Barbara; Uncles Joseph (Reesa) Eagle Plume, Kevin Eagle Plume, Terrance Knife, and Harley Pace; Goddaughter Jurnee Eagle Plume; nieces; Shia and Valarie; Godparents Jimmy and late Catherine Red Crow.
Jalisa was gregarious and independent with a strong will. Growing up, Jalisa’s family found, that her tenacious spirit and strong will that everyone knew in Jalisa showed itself at an early age. When Jalisa decided she was going to do something, there was no stopping her. Her strong will and spirit was rooted in her faith and spirituality. Despite the challenges she faced in life, her spirituality carried her.
As a young girl, she enjoyed her favorite sport of hockey. She played hockey and stayed focused as a goalie, wanting to take her team to the finals. She was compassionate toward others and would often lend a helping hand to others whenever she could. Jalisa enjoyed travelling with her family to Disneyland on several occasions and loved camping trips as well. She loved cats, playing in the park, swimming, dressing up and going to Church and being with her friends. Jalisa’s life was short, but her love and memories will live on forever in our hearts.
The Family service will be held at Legacy Funeral Home in Cardston on Monday, January 7th, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
A Wake Service will be held at the Senator Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve on Monday, Jan. 7th from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blood Reserve on Tuesday, Jan. 8th at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Pioneer Cemetery, Levern, AB.
