DONALD KEITH PALMER, was born on September 10, 1933 in Cardston, Alberta and reached his 91st birthday before passing away peacefully on September 21, 2024 at the Cardston Hospital.
Don lived and worked in Cardston all his life, contributing much to the landscape of the town.
He met his love Lorraine Ruth Peterson, they married in the Cardston Temple on December 30, 1955 and began to build their life together working and raising their family of girls; Patricia Dawn (Doug) Richards, Diana Lynn (Rick) Brown, Wendy Lorraine (Mark) Herzog and Sharon Louise (Randy) Baker.
Don and Lorraine served in the Cardston Temple together for many years until Lorraine’s health stopped her from doing so. Don carried on for many more years serving in the temple he had come to love. They also attended many different temples throughout the U.S.A. together.
Don remarried a friend, Val Harris, after Lorraine passed and spent many years together raising another two girls from Val’s family; Mindy Beth (Derek) Cannon and Heather Priscilla (Brad) Peterson. The two of them attended the temple in Cardston together as often as possible and also visited several other temples elsewhere. After Val passed, Don continued to attend the temple spending entire days there. Don has 4 daughters plus Val’s 9 children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Carroll Alton and Alta May; his wives Lorraine and Val; his siblings Max, Norma, and Rita; son-in-laws, Rick Brown and Randy Baker and his step-son Jeremy Harris.
Funeral Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cardston Alberta West Stake Center (Waterton Hi-way) on Friday, September 27th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may meet the family from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment to follow at the Cardston Cemetery.
