JANICE PLAITED HAIR passed away in Calgary on June 29, 2016 at the age of 38 years. She is survived by her husband Corwin Morning Bird; daughters Leah, Amber (Skialen), Jessie (Alroy J.R.); parents Shirley Plaited Hair & Jesse Mills (deceased); siblings Lori (Calvin), Joni (Horace), Melissa (Delray), Laura, Kevin (Shannon), Garon (Lacey).
Janice was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother - a good friend to everyone she knew. She was one of the eldest of seven children and helped raise her younger siblings. She had her children at a young age and a husband, Corwin, to whom she was devoted for over 25 years. She enjoyed going to school and music was a big part of her life. She enjoyed cooking, especially the compliments she got for her fry bread. Everyone loved her sense of humor and how she could listen for hours. She was a loving Grandma and shared a special bond with each of her Grandchildren - she was there for every birth. She was a kind hearted loving mother figure to those she encountered and opened her home to anyone she loved and needed her help. She was an even greater Auntie to over 40 of her nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Her main love was being a homemaker and a wife.
