It is with great sadness that the family of Marcene Broadhead Pontarollo announce her passing in Cardston on October 9, 2024. She was born in Cardston to Glen and Clarice Broadhead on November 12, 1930. She spent her childhood in Beazer. She is the oldest of seven children: Audrey (George deceased) Nelson, Ron (deceased) Joann Broadhead, Marilyn (Gerald) Beazer, Randy (Linda) Broadhead, Rita (Mike) Shaw and Jim (Kelli) Broadhead. She is survived by their four children: Dianne (Bill deceased) Roblin, Joyce (Gerry) Zemp, Danny (Teresa) Pontarollo and Ken Pontarollo. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren.
In 1950 she married Guido Pontarollo. They raised their family in Cardston but were fortunate to spend alot of their time on their ranch in Beazer. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Guido, son-in-law Bill Roblin and brother Ron Broadhead. She dedicated her life to her family and Church. She had many Church callings but really enjoyed her callings in the music. When she was called to direct the choir for the rededication of the Cardston Temple, it was a thrill for her. She loved flowers and spent hours making her yard beautiful. She served faithfully in her callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The family wish to thank the caregivers in the Cardston LTC who showed love and compassion to her during her stay there.
Family and Friends are invited to a Graveside Service for this kind, quiet, compassionate and loving Mother to be laid to rest in the Beazer Cemetery on Saturday, October 12th, 2024 at 11:00 am.
