It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alan Todd Quesnelle (Gervais). Alan was born on February 25, 1976 in Seattle, Washington, to Memory (Gervais) and the late Arnold Quesnelle. Alan grew up closely with his Gervais family in Browning, Montana.
Alan was a devoted husband to his beautiful wife, Miranda, for 30 years, and a loving father to his four amazing children: Skyler, Quaid, Alia and Alexander. He had a special bond with his dog, Malibu, and his cat, Rita, as well.
He is also survived by his mother Memory, sisters Leona and Mariah Quesnelle, and brother Murray Eagle Plume. He is lovingly remembered by his brother-in-law Kenny (Sherry) Eagle Plume; sisters-in-law Stephanie Bull Shields, Roxanne Twigg, Yvette Red Crow, and Heather Quesnelle; as well as Smokey Gervais, Jim (Suzie) Gervais, Faith Ann Gervais, Tom (Cathy) Gervais, John Minyard, Henry Quesnelle, Karl Quesnelle, and Yvette Quesnelle.
Alan began his career at the young age of 15, working alongside his father at Bullhorn Excavating. His strong work ethic and determination led him to build his own company, Tildark Excavating, at just 20 years old. Alan also worked with Northside Construction for 11 years, where Miranda joined him and worked by his side, with him as her foreman. He later went on to work with Boulder Construction and Thompson Construction for several years.
Together, Miranda and Alan built a life full of love, laughter and family. From a young age, Alan had a natural talent for operating heavy equipment and took great pride in his work. But beyond his career, he was happiest spending time outdoors, camping, boating, fishing and taking the grandkids tubing. Alan and Miranda loved golfing together, cheering on the Seattle Seahawks and Calgary Flames, and creating countless cherished memories.
Alan’s greatest joy was his family. He worked tirelessly to make sure they never struggled, always guiding them through life’s challenges and celebrating every milestone with pride. He adored his grandchildren – Kingston and Kreedence – and later welcomed Memphis, Vienna, Paris, and Cairo into the family with open arms. His playful spirit and gentle heart made him a favorite among the little ones, and he could often be found laughing and playing with the kids at family gatherings.
Known for his vibrant personality, generous hear, and unforgettable sense of humor. Alan brought warmth and energy to every gathering. His friends and family will forever remember him as someone who could light up a room and turn strangers into friends.
Alan was predeceased by his father Arnold Quesnelle; brothers AndyLee, Rocky, Chance and Adair Quesnelle; nephews Dylan, Rocky II, and Guy Quesnelle; nieces Haylee, Gracie and Kaitlyn Quesnelle; his father-and-mother-in-law Jim and Catherine Red Crow; and brother-in- law Jimmy Red Crow.
Alan will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of hard work, love, laughter, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of everyone whose lives he touched.
