RUBY WILLIAMS QUINTON, passed away on October 14, 2025 in Cardston Alberta , 2 days after her 70th Wedding Anniversary.
She was born in Leavitt, Alberta on April 13, 1938 to Othello (Ted) and Amy Williams. Her brother and sisters are Norene, Garry, Loretta, Joyce, Linda and Corinne.
Ruby loved growing up on the farm driving tractor, feeding the pigs, collecting eggs, having picnics up on the hills behind their house and spending time with her cousins that lived close by. She went to grades 1 and 2 riding a horse up over the hills to the school in Leavitt in all kinds of weather and then finished her schooling in Cardston.
She met Keith when she was 14 and they kept in contact until she was old enough to date. They were married on October 12, 1955 in the Cardston Alberta Temple.
She worked at the Blood Indian Hospital until she started having children.
Ruby and Keith were blessed with 6 children: Brenda (Jim) Beck, Nadine (Boyd) Leavitt, Rhonda (Ray) Smith, Teresa (deceased), Steven (Darilyn) Quinton and Kevin (Shelley) Quinton.
They now have 19 Grandchildren and 47 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandson.
Her interest were quilting, scrapbooking, music and flower arranging. She also loved being outdoors camping and playing games with her family and friends. She had a lifelong passion for learning and took many courses to upgrade skills and knowledge.
She served in many capacities in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as well as in her community with Meals on Wheels.
She and Keith moved into the Chinook Lodge in October 2020 where they resided until her passing. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and her eternal companion. Until we meet again.
Funeral Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, South Hill Chapel, Cardston on Saturday, October 25th, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Friends may meet the family from 9:00-9:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment to follow at the Cardston Cemetery.
