Jackie (Jacqueline) Ksisskstakiaakii
Red Crow July 17, 1952 - December 16, 2020
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved and cherished Jackie Ksisskstakiaakii Red Crow on December 16, 2020 at the Chinook Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Jackie dedicated her life as a nurturing and loving mom to Sarah Rodrigeuz, Adrian Red Crow and Jonathon Red Crow. She will be missed by her treasured grandchildren Cameron, Adam, Lima and Luna; Marley and Leighton. Jackie was the most loving and devoted sister to Delphine(John)Pipestem Sr., Alvin (late Sheila) Red Crow, and Norbert(Andrea) Red Crow. As their auntie, Jackie went above and beyond for Claire, John(Toni), Andrew(Candace), Narcisse(Nina),Elisha, Allred, Alvin Jr., Mark, Lucinda, Juanita, Katherine, Zak, and Norbert Jr. as well as her great and great great nieces and nephews. She was a kind and compassionate niece to her aunties Pauline Tallow and Joan(Joe)Cochrane and uncles Jack Red Crow, Ben(Late Mary) Red Crow and Charlie(Betty)Crow Chief. She was our matriarch, the one we went to for everything, never said no, always so willing to help. Her kindness was reciprocated by many. She was deeply loved and respected by her sister cousins and brother cousins, her extended family, her wide circle of friends, her many colleagues she worked with throughout Treaty 7 and beyond, and most recently at Blood Tribe Department of Health and her beloved Kainai people for whom she passionately worked so hard for and advocated for, carrying on the strong teaching instilled by her parents. On her sacred spiritual journey home, Jackie will be lovingly reunited with her parents Andrew Allred and Dinah Red Crow, her sisters Melva Lois Red Crow and Annie Helen Blood, her niece Shannon Red Crow and nephew Andrew Red Crow, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and all her friends and ancestors.
A Viewing will take place at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Wednesday, December 23 from 9:00 - 11:00 am. Following the viewing the Funeral Service will be held at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Cardston at 11:30 a.m. (Due to COVID restrictions only 10 people will be permitted in the service.) Interment will take place at St. Catherine’s cemetery, Standoff, AB.
