It is with heavy hearts, we the family, announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, nephew and uncle Trendon Alexander Red Crow. Trendon was born on January 28, 1998, in Lethbridge Ab, and passed away on December 24, 2024 in Calgary AB, at the age of 26 years.
Trendon came into the world to loving parents Rochelle Standing Alone and the late Jimmy Red Crow Jr. Rochelle and Jim were so proud they had a son. Jim would go out of his way to get anything that Trendon needed. The proud parents would be going around showing Trendon off to family and friends. Trendon had everything a baby could need or want until tragedy hit, and at the age of 4 months he lost his father.
Trendons’ mother was close to Aunt Lorna and Uncle Merlin and after Jims passing, they took it upon themselves to step in and help Rochelle with baby Trendon. They provided emotional support as well as any needs Trendon may have had. Merlin and Lorna opened their hearts and home to Trendon and took him as their own. They helped Rochelle in any way they could knowing she was pregnant with their
second child, Marlee. Trendon was also very close to his maternal grandparent the late Fredrick Weasel Head and Delores Standing Alone, as they were helping Rochelle through her loss, Merlin and Lorna would step in and help when and where they were needed.
When Marlee came into the world, they were inseparable. Trendon doted on and adored his baby sister with all his heart. They did everything together and he really looked up to her for guidance. Before any decisions were made, he would always say “I’ll tell Marlee” or “just wait let me tell Marlee”. His love for his sister was immeasurable and no words could ever describe the bond and connection they carried between them. They really did do life together in all aspects.
Trendon attended Saipoyi Elementary School and had some of his earlier education in Calgary, AB. When he returned home, he then attended Kainai High School. Trendon also attended the Blood Tribe Reinvestment Initiative program in Standoff, AB. As Trendon grew, he became a helpful, quiet and humble young man. He would always offer to help his Grandparents Delores and Fred, two people he thoroughly enjoyed being with, when they needed it. Trendon liked to keep to himself and led a simple life. His bond with Grandma Delores grew even stronger after the passing of Grandpa Fred. Trendon was a very respectful young man, this showed when he met new people and, in the interactions, he had with his aunts, uncles and older cousins. As reserved as he was Trendon never shied away from playing a good game of basketball and would play any chance he got. Trendon liked to spend time with his sister and closest cousins.
He met and fell in love with the late Charmaine Crow Chief whom he would end up spending all his time with. As time went on Trendon expressed his loneliness and how much he missed his late grandparents, cousin Shae and his lady Charmaine. Trendon was a kind, gentle man and will be missed by all those who had the privilege of getting to know him.
