It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, Anita Scout, on September 27, 2025 at the young age of 57 years old. Her unforgettable spirit and the vibrant memories she created will forever live on in the hearts of her family. Born in Cardston, AB, to Nora Scout and Kenyon BSH, Anita faced the early loss of her mother. She was lovingly raised by numerous family members, gaining many parents, brothers, and sisters along the way. Anita had a remarkable ability to bring comfort and peace to those around her, though she never stayed in one place for long. She felt most at home in the mountains and by the ocean. Throughout her life, Anita lived in various places, including Yakima, Tsuut’ina, Blood Reserve, Lethbridge, Cardston, Cranbrook, BC, and Vancouver, BC. In her youth, she was known for her love of riding her motorcycle, earning her the nickname "Honda," and she was always remembered for her signature leather jacket. Anita embraced each day with an adventurous and daring spirit, eager to share the world with those around her. Each family member has a unique, thrilling, and memorable story to tell about her. She was a loving, caring, and welcoming soul who always put others before herself. No matter where she went, she found friends and family who were always happy to see her. Her presence was deeply missed whenever she was away, and visits never seemed long enough. Anita was an amazing cook, finding joy in feeding others, and her frybread will be especially missed. Wherever she visited, she showed her gratitude by helping and cleaning. Anita considered all her nieces and nephews as her own children and cherished her many sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, and friends. In times of grief, celebration, or need, she would always find a way to be there, whether by hitchhiking, walking, taking a bus, or flying. Family was her focus, and she always ensured everyone was okay. She adored being a mom and grandma, sharing a special bond with each one. Anita loved music and exploring conspiracy theories. Her advice and opinions weren’t always conventional, but they were always valued. Anita found beauty and inspiration in everything, possessing a unique vision that was often beyond explanation. She was a talented artist in her youth, often sharing stories of painting school murals. Anita manifested resilience, independence, selflessness, courage, strength, and determination. She lived an extraordinary life, embracing every day and moment, leaving an imprint on all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. The family finds peace in knowing that she will be reunited with her loved ones.Anita passed away in Vancouver, BC on September 27, 2025.  She leaves behind her Children, Nicholas Scout (Shawnee) Nicole Scout, Dawn Scout, Kelly Scout & Luke Small Eyes.
