It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, auntie, mother, and friend, Dayna Michelle Scout, on October 15th, 2024 in Lethbridge, Alberta. She was born on July 11th, 1984 to the late Judy Striped Wolf & the late Eric Plaited Hair in Cardston, Alberta. 
When Dayna was young, she grew to love horses. This passion led her to ride at the Blood Tribe Youth Ranch. She attended Kainai High School, where she met Bradley Bareshinbone, whom she had two children with. She brought her eldest child Kailey Bareshinbone into this world on August 13, 2006. Years later she brought her youngest child Bailey Bareshinebone into life on August 29th 2011. Dayna enjoyed fashion, art, laughing with friends, and looking out constantly for those that she loved. Many of the friends she made became her family, for whom she truly cared for. 
Dayna leaves behind her siblings Robbie Kirk Gros Venture Boy (Hazel Lily Gros Venture Boy) and Memphis Plaited Hair; her children Kailey Bareshinebone and Bailey Bareshinebone; her nieces Kellita Day Chief and Azarah Day Chief; her nephews Eric (Jr) Plaited Hair, Tommy Scottie (Jr) Plaited Hair, Leoson Paul Gros Venture Boy, and Jacob Eric Wallis Gros Venture Boy. 
Dayna is now on her journey to join those who were predeceased before her grandmothers Ruby Gross Venture Boy and Amy Plaited Hair; mother Judy Striped Wolf; father Eric Plaited Hair; siblings Scottie Eric Plaited Hair and Brett Gros Venture Boy.  Dayna was a very happy and beautiful woman and has left too soon, and she will be missed by many people who loved her very much.

​A Wake Service will be held on Monday, October 28 at the Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston from 6:00 - 8:00 pm then continuing all night at the residence of Bradley Bareshinbone, Lavern, Blood Reserve. The Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 29 at the Senator Gladstone Hall at 11:00 am.  Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery, Blood Reserve.
