Kim Ruth Scout-Chief Moon, Ik'skiyakii-Shell Woman was called home to the Happy Hunting Grounds on July 3rd/2025 at the age of 56. She was surrounded by her loving grandchildren and family as she went peacefully.
Kim is survived by her husband Guy Supernault, her children-Tyne(Cyrus Weasel Fat), Cassidy and Tuff. Sisters- Lenora(Horace Shouting) and Arlene(Todd Soup), Nitasha (Nicholas Many Fingers), grandchildren Ariyah, Gabriel, Isaac and Rhen, also cousin/sisters Justine(Cletus Big Throat) & Shannon (Freddy Vielle). Also, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family-too numerous to name.

Kim was born February 27th/1969 at Cardston Blood Indian Hospital. She grew up in Fish Creek and Chief Moon Valley. Kim was a rambunctious child, she was a natural redhead which made her stand out even more-she was always center of attention. While growing up and getting into mischief, she could talk herself out of any situation and it was her cutest little lisp that melted hearts hence her getting away with everything. She even came up with her childhood Club named “The GCG’s-Greatest Canadian Girls Club” with only Kim, Jolane and Shannon were members. Kim made one exception for Rocko/Lorraine Chief Moon-“Rocko” had to steal snacks and smokes from her Dad’s Store to be a member of “the “GCG’s” and Rocko did just that. Being the 2nd Eldest of 6 children, she was “Always In-Charge “ and “The Boss”. Kim would have activities planned for her and her younger siblings to do. She would even go as far as taking all her younger siblings to Rock Concerts-numerous 80s Hairbands. She was excellent at everything she did-always organizing activities and events for her family. Everyone went to her for her ideas and creativity. Kim was very intelligent, outgoing, artistic, versatile person and always very caring, kind, nurturing with a calm persona like no other. She welcomed everyone into her home and was always willing to help others wherever she went. Everyone knew Kim for her humour-she could do so many impressions, including the one of Forrest Gump and Bubba-referring to her sister Jolane as “Forrest” and they would laugh for hours until their stomachs hurt.

When she became a young mom to Tyne, she was so blessed-she always made sure Tyne was well taken care of and Kim would always provide for her and she always worked so hard to raise Tyne in a loving home-which she did. Then when Cassidy and Tuff came into her life, she would always say she was the luckiest mom in the world to have been blessed with her 3 beautiful children-saying she was complete. Then later on when Kim became a grandma/Nana to her beautiful grandchildren-Ariyah & Rhen and Gabriel & Isaac, she was the happiest Nana ever. She was always spoiling her babies with gifts-no matter what, when “Nana” came for a visit she would never come empty handed-she always had presents for all her grand babies. They were her everything, she loved them all so much. They helped heal her heart after losing her BFF  & sister Melody Jolane Scout.
Together everyone knew them as the inseparable “Kim & Jolane”. As Arlene got older into her mid-teens, Kim let Arlene join them-they were all mistaken as Triplets-because they all looked so much alike-sometimes even their own kids would mistake one of them for their own mom.

When Kim was accepted into the U of A, she moved to Edmonton and made this her home town-she lived there for over 20yrs and “loved it!” This is where she met the Love of her Life-Guy. When they first met, they were like magnets to each other. They seen one another across a crowded room and instantly hit it off-they have been together ever since.  Kim and Guy were the best of friends and partners in life. They always supported one another and made such a beautiful, welcoming home together for over 20years plus. Guy was Kim’s rock through thick and thin, the love they have for each other in timeless.

Kim went to school in Levern Day School,Hillspring, Cardston for elementary  & Jr. High and CCH and Kainai High School where she would become President of KHS. She then went on to attend Lethbridge College and then transferred to the University of Alberta into the Psychology program. She worked numerous jobs throughout her life, even becoming an Educational Assistant(E A) at Ah’sapi’ School. She then became her own Boss and an Entrepreneur. Kim taught herself how to sew. She made the most beautiful Ribbon Dresses that when she Posted them on Facebook, she would instantly sell out. She loved being with family and making memories-she was such an inspiration to all who knew her. Everyone loved her sense of humour-she made us all laugh so much. We will miss her entrance saying, “what’s up b*tches!”

Kim was predeceased by parents, Dad-Jordan Chief Moon Sr., Mom-Rosetta Scout, sister-Melody Jolane Scout, brothers-Kristian and Simon Scout. Niece-Kristen Scout, Grandparents-Dan & Philomena Chief Moon Sr., Ben  & Sarah Scout Sr., and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins.

Kim’s family would like to apologize for any names that we may have missed as there are too many to mention.
Also, the family wishes to thank all the doctors and nurses and medical staff for their excellent care she received at Misericordia Hospital, Edmonton, AB. Thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout this difficult time. Words alone cannot express our gratitude
